Can Human Behavior be modeled? There are some who disagree vehemently and others who agree. Despite the debate, we humans continue to rely on models to explain why someone has acted in a certain way, to evaluate his/her actions, and to predict how this individual might behave in the future.
Behaviors are there for everyone to see, but causes are hidden from view. So we tend to rely on assumptions, in the form of implicit ‘models of human behavior’. This session describes the major models that we typically employ in organizational settings as well as in daily life.
This coaching program topic will help participants understand the important models and underlying motivations of human behavior. Managers will learn to view a particular behavior from multiple perspectives and explore the effects of the prevalence of a model within their organization.
