The word “collaboration” typically has a very positive connotation these days. It helps us direct more attention to how people connect with each other, as capable adults. But we also have to appreciate the negative sides of collaboration, as well as the positive.

In this CoachingOurselves topic, four authors have collaborated in order to bring together a set of points that they have found surprising about collaboration. In doing this topic, participants will distinguish the various types of collaborative relationships in which they may be involved, realize what contributes to effective collaboration and apply this learning to enhance their relationships.
