CoachingOurselves Case Study Highly Commended by EFMD for Excellence in Practice Award 2011

We are pleased to announce that CoachingOurselves, alongside Lufthansa School of Business and the IMPM at Lancaster University and McGill University, has received high recommendations by the EFMD for our entry in their 2011 Excellence in Practice Award. The EFMD has highly commended CoachingOurselves for their organisation-wide development impact.

The EFMD, based out of Brussels, Belgium, is an organisation with over 750 members from business, public service, academia, and consultancy in 82 countries dedicated to the advancement of management development. Their yearly Excellence in Practice Award recognizes organisations that have implemented an effective and impactful leadership and development intervention.

"The EFMD Excellence in Practice Award attracts case studies describing an effective and impactful Leadership and Development intervention. These programmes can be deployed by an organisation (company, public sector, charity etc..) either together with their inhouse L&D organisation or with an external L&D provider." The highly commended case, submitted under the Organisational Development category, was titled "Partnership in Design, Development & Delivery of the IMpact Program". The case explored how CoachingOurselves is being used as an enhancement to the IMPM to extend participants’ learning back into the workplace. This enables organisations to send one participant to the IMPM for management development and effectively develop an entire team. Monthly CoachingOurselves sessions are led by participants upon their return to the organisation; “pay one, develop six”. The IMPM, through the use of CoachingOurselves, has made it possible for learning and change to be felt organisation-wide by starting with personal development. The IMpact approach focuses on change from within that extends outwards in a way that can expand its reach ten-fold.
