Management Competency Raising

Our objective is to be competent, right? So companies give a lot of attention to “management competencies.” The list of possible ones is so long that you can spend a lifetime learning them – and never have time to manage! The objective here is, rather, to help you to deepen an understanding of what management competencies are, and to reflect on how you use them.

In this CoachingOurselves session Mintzberg and Sadilova lead you through a process to:

  • Increase awareness of the competencies used in managing
  • Become conscious about how you practice some of these management competencies
  • Expose yourself to alternate ways of practicing these competencies

When you share your experiences about what works well for you, and listen to what works for other managers, which may be very different, you will enhance your overall competence to practice management.
